Resize images in your browser

This tool changes image dimensions without uploading. Keep aspect ratio on by default to avoid stretching, or unlock it when you need exact width and height.

Resizing before you share or publish is one of the simplest ways to cut file size. A 4000px phone photo does not need to stay that large for a blog thumbnail or social crop.

Best practices for resizing

Downscaling is usually safe. Upscaling cannot invent real detail — results may look soft.

  • Match the display size you actually need (for example 1920×1080 for Full HD)
  • Keep aspect ratio unless a platform demands a fixed box
  • Combine resize + compress for the smallest practical file
  • Export PNG for UI screenshots; JPG or WebP for photos

FAQ

Does resizing keep aspect ratio?
Yes by default. Unlock the aspect ratio if you need exact width and height (the image will be stretched).
Do you upload my photos?
Everything runs in your browser with the Canvas API. Your files are never uploaded to a server.
Can I convert multiple images at once?
Yes. Add several files, convert them, and download individually or all together.
